Keynote Speaker - Sue Goetz

Sue is a garden designer, writer and speaker, and owner of the garden design business, Creative Gardener.
10:30 a.m. – Sue will present Garden Design for Bees, Butterflies and Other Good Things! Get tips on how to design a garden that not only feeds pollinators but provides habitat for them. Shelter, water, eco-friendly care and, of course, the plants! Get a list of the best plants and all you need to know to grow a healthy, sustainable, colorful garden that invites pollinators to stay.
1:30 p.m. – join Sue for a hands-on workshop, Plant by Number Gardens for Pollinators! Create your landing spot along a pollinator’s flight path. Get tips on how to color up your garden with designer combos for mini, pocket gardens, container gardens, and mixed landscape borders. Learn how to combine three (or more) pollinator attracting perennials, shrubs and annuals to create plant drawings. Then get pencils and paper and have fun designing – creating patterns with a matrix planting approach for your space.
